Faculty Opportunities

Since 2025, the Lunder Institute, in partnership with the Provost’s office, has appointed Tanya Sheehan as the Director of Academic and Scholarly Engagement for the Lunder Institute. Dr. Sheehan will identify opportunities and lead efforts to involve the campus community in the museum and Institute’s programs, partnerships, and events. She will work to help design ways of interacting with, integrating, and supporting Colby faculty and students. She will also help faculty develop scholarly research and publication projects that align with the work of the Lunder Institute. Finally, she will lend her own scholarly expertise to various research programs and projects at the Lunder Institute.

In partnership with Tanya Sheehan, the Lunder Institute established a faculty advisory group. Three faculty advisors with whom we can engage directly and deeply during the academic year to build stronger connections between the Lunder Institute’s work and the academic program at Colby.
