Gourley Works on Paper Gallery

Dedicated to the museum’s extensive collection of works on paper, this gallery features new installations of prints, drawings, and photographs every six months that highlight the breadth and diversity of artistic expression across cultures, regions and time periods—on view as part of Some American Stories.

Installation Views

  • Corner gallery view featuring a dark teal exhibition text panel titled "Works on Paper: Drawn to Memory" situated next to an open doorway. To the left of the doorway hangs a large abstract drawing, while two smaller framed artworks hang on the adjacent wall to the right above dark hardwood floors.
  • Gallery installation view featuring four groupings of framed artworks mounted on a light gray wall beneath subtle text reading "Gourley Gallery." The wall displays two horizontal landscapes on the left, a two-by-two grid of small square prints in the center, and a dark vertical painting on the right above dark hardwood floors.
  • Installation view of four varied framed paintings hung in a horizontal line along a smooth light gray gallery wall above dark wood floors and white baseboards, with track lighting mounted on the ceiling above.
