The Colby College Museum of Art is always free and open to all.

The Colby Museum is a forum for experimentation, research, dialogue, and connection. On campus, the museum features thematic displays that draw from its collection of nearly 11,000 artworks as well as a vibrant schedule of rotating exhibitions and programs.

The Joan Dignam Schmaltz Gallery of Art
at the Paul J. Schupf Art Center

93 Main Street, Waterville, Maine

Located in the heart of downtown Waterville, the Joan Dignam Schmaltz Gallery of Art is the Colby Museum’s dedicated gallery space at the Paul J. Schupf Art Center, presenting rotating exhibitions of contemporary art and selections from the Colby Museum’s collection.

Additional offerings at the Art Center include the Maine Film Center, the Ticonic Gallery + Studios, and the Waterville Opera House, all part of Waterville Creates.

Dining

The museum has a café located next to the main museum entrance and is open Tuesday through Friday, 11 a.m.–4 p.m. During the academic year, it offers light refreshments and a selection of prepared sandwiches and salads. During the summer, a limited selection of cold drinks and snacks are available for purchase through the welcome desk. The café is closed during the month of January.

Dana Dining Hall is Colby’s summer dining location on campus and features hot entrées that change daily, sandwich and salad bars, pizza, and a grill. Dana Dining Hall is a five- to seven-minute walk across campus from the museum. Link to a campus map.

Dana Dining Hall summer hours are as follows:
Lunch: 11 a.m.–2 p.m. daily
$10 for all you care to eat
Dinner: 5–7 p.m. daily
$12 for all you care to eat
