Let Art Inspire

Let Art Inspire is the Museum’s wellness initiative, which includes a variety of programs that connect the mind, body, and art in innovative ways. Currently, there are two Let Art Inspire programs:

Artful Movements

Virtual | First Saturday of each month, 1 p.m.

Practice a series of gentle yoga poses inspired by artworks in the galleries. Our Artful Movements sessions begin with a deeper look at an artwork, followed by yoga and meditation
led by Kathleen Leisure Haberstock of School Street Yoga. Watch past Artful Movements programs and stay tuned for upcoming Artful Movement programs

Artful Meditation and Expression

In-Person | Third Sunday of each month, 2:30 p.m.

Experience greater mind-body connection though our in person Artful Meditation and Expression program. Participants will join art therapist Bodhi Simpson in a guided meditation session in the Colby Museum galleries, followed by an art-making exploration in our Mirken Education Center. This offering will support your personal comfort with creative expression, increase self-awareness, and offer simple tools to support emotional wellbeing. Register for upcoming Artful Meditation and Expression programs

Journaling Tips

Each month’s programming is accompanied with a series of journal prompts focused on the selected theme. These prompts aim to encourage deep reflection and self-care. View all of our journaling tips.
