Each Thursday, join us to spend time with a work of art on view in the Colby College Museum of Art’s galleries. This week, Jillian Impastato, the Mirken Coordinator of Campus Collaborations, will facilitate a conversation focusing on The Party in the Maple Sugar Camp by Eastman Johnson in the exhibition Eastman Johnson and Maine.
Art Break programs are grounded in the practice of slow looking, an educational approach that asks people to give patient, immersive attention to a work of art as a way to make connections and create meaning for yourself. These looking experiences will be facilitated by museum staff, interns, community collaborators, and special guests.
