Drawing upon movement, durational performance practice, movement scores, and spoken word, artists will use performance to explore, illuminate, and challenge museum spaces and histories. Performances take place in the galleries and public spaces of the Colby Museum.
Artists in this temporary exhibition include Linn Cao Nguyen Phuong ’24, Michael Giusti ’24, Yinka Lamikanra ’26, April Levy ’27, Michael Lugo ’27, Hayden Merrill ’24, Daniel Muse ’26, Lucy Robinson ’24, Marthe Godwilling Unkap ’24, Joanna Velazquez ’24, and Elaine Xiang ’27.
This program is a part of the course, “Performing the Museum,” taught by Professor Gwynn Shanks through the Performance, Theater, and Dance Department.
Performances will be followed by a reception in the museum lobby.
