Join the Colby College Museum of Art on campus for a day of free art workshops, music, food, and interactive gallery experiences for people of all ages.
Create your own works of art with Lunder Institute for American Art resident fellows at the Art Tent, play with the Children’s Discovery Museum and Colby students, move to the vibes of live music, and learn more about the art on view directly from our curators! Then, fuel up at the free food trucks: Taco the Town, Sheba’s Kitchen, Stone Fox Farm Creamery, and more.
Inside the museum, participate in a storytime the museum’s galleries, go on an exhibition tour, make custom buttons with the Waterville Public Library, drop by other activities offered by our community partners, and enjoy the collection and other art on view in this summer’s exhibitions:
- Martha Diamond: Deep Time
- Surface Tension: Etchings from the Collection
- Eastman Johnson in Maine
- Painted: Our Bodies, Hearts, and Village
- Alex Katz: Repetitions
Or, just sit back and enjoy time with friends and family!
Thanks to the support of Friends of Art, Community Day is entirely free and open to all.
