Join the Colby College Museum of Art and HINGE Collaborative for a free printmaking workshop guided by two local artists: printmaker Elizabeth Jabar and sculptor Veronica Perez.

Register here.

Taking inspiration from the exhibit The World Outside: Louise Nevelson at Midcentury, workshop participants will create their own constructed and assembled prints.

One key aspect of Louise Nevelson’s artistic language was her use of repetition and rhythm, which is evident in both her sculptures and prints. This workshop will explore Nevelson’s printmaking practices and her use of materials, surfaces, and forms.

The evening will include:

  • An in-gallery conversation with Elizabeth Jabar and Veronica Perez
  • A printmaking workshop in the Mirken Education Center, located on the ground floor of Colby Museum
  • Light refreshments

Participants are invited to explore printmaking techniques further in a three-part workshop on April 18, April 21, and April 28 at HINGE Collaborative, downtown Waterville. Workshops are free; registration is required.

Please register for the in-depth workshop here.
