We are excited to announce the second annual Allen Island Teacher Retreat, taking place this summer July 21-23. This year, in partnership with the Farnsworth Art Museum and the Abbe Museum, we are offering a retreat-style convening on Colby College’s Allen Island Campus. The convening is designed to help Maine educators understand how to implement Wabanaki Studies into their K-12 classroom curriculum and to connect with other teachers throughout the state.
Educators in rural districts or who teach Indigenous youth are especially encouraged to apply. Click here to fill out the application, which will take approximately 10-20 minutes to complete. Space is limited to about 15 participants.
