Each Thursday, join us to spend time with a work of art on view in the Colby Museum’s gallery spaces. This week, Andrew Witte, Mirken Family Postbaccalaureate Fellow in Museum Practice, will facilitate a conversation focusing on Meeting by Alex Katz, located in the Parker Poe Charitable Trust Gallery of the Paul J. Schupf Wing for the Work of Alex Katz.
Art Break programs are grounded in the practice of slow looking, an educational approach that asks people to give patient, immersive attention to a work of art as a way to make connections and create meaning for yourself. These looking experiences will be facilitated by museum staff, interns, docents, and special guests.
