What does it mean, in the end, to accept a body’s decline? Naeem Mohaiemen’s film, Jole Dobe Na (Bengali for “those who do not drown;” 64 minutes), a featured part of his exhibition grace, addresses this question as it relates to medical care and hospital bureaucracies as experienced by an estranged couple. Mohaiemen is participating in a public program on Thursday, February 23, at 6:00 pm, and the museum invites the public to watch his film during one of the following timed screenings during the week:
Tuesday, February 21, through Friday, February 24: 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm daily, with an added 4:30 pm showing on Thursday, February 23.
