Create a self-portrait that combines art and words to show your unique identity, inspired by the artist Robert Shetterly’s Americans Who Tell the Truth portrait project. Create a self-portrait with art materials provided, and then write a short narrative about an event, person, or belief that helped you become who you are today.
UPDATE January 16, 2023: Due to inclement weather, our Joan Dignam Schmaltz Gallery of Art in the Paul J. Schupf Art Center is closed today, January 16. Our Waterville Creates + Colby College Museum of Art presents: Americans Who Tell the Truth, an MLK Day Art Project program has been cancelled as a result.
