Colby College Museum of Art

Experience greater mind-body connection through our Artful Meditation and Expression program. Participants will join art therapist Bodhi Simpson in a guided meditation session followed by an art making experience. This offering will support your personal comfort with creative expression, increase self-awareness, and offer simple tools to support emotional wellbeing.

In February, our theme of Let’s Keep Going is inspired by Hurdling: Green by Reggie Burrows Hodges.

Artful Meditation and Expression is part of the museum’s wellness initiative, Let Art Inspire, which includes a variety of programs that connect mind, body, and art in innovative ways.

Please note: Due to an increase locally in COVID-19 transmissions, this month’s program will be virtual. Please register here to receive a Zoom link to join this free program and reserve your free workshop materials. Please email Kris Bergquist with any questions.

Bodhi Simpson, LCPC, ATR, is an art therapist with a private practice in Waterville, Maine, called Conscious Art Therapy. She also is a teaching artist, an adjunct college instructor, and a workshop and retreat facilitator who incorporates creative expression and work with imagination, intuition, and metaphor into the healing process.
