Join Waterville Creates and Colby College for a beam signing and topping-off ceremony to commemorate the emergence of the Paul J. Schupf Art Center in downtown Waterville.
The work on Main Street continues as the final beams are being put into place. As one of Waterville’s new key focal points, the Schupf Art Center will be a marquee destination for those in Maine and across the region with an interest in the arts. It will house three screening rooms, studios, the Joan Dignam Schmaltz Gallery of Art, named as part of a generous gift from Dana Schmaltz in honor of his parents, Dick ’62 and Joan ’63, and The Hub, a place for the community to come together. It will also connect directly to the Waterville Opera House via a new skywalk.
