Arts Collaborative at 18 Main

Celebrate the last day of spring semester classes with an afternoon of art-making. Spend time with What is Missing?, an interactive website and virtual project designed by Maya Lin as her “last memorial,” with its focus on habitat degradation and loss. Choose the stories that resonate with you, and illustrate them with watercolor pencils and paints. We’ll design a space that has all you need to create—watercolor papers and paints, snacks to munch on, and an art-inspired soundtrack to set the mood.

The art activity is an adaptation of the current Create-It Kit for Colby: Earth Connections, designed by Student Guides Aakanksha Chandrashekaran, Katherine Hernández, and Emily Tan.

To ensure that we are following capacity guidelines, pre-registration is required here

This in-person experience is for campus audiences. At this time, the Colby College Museum of Art is open only to current Colby students, faculty, and staff. Events designated for Campus Audiences are available only to members of the campus community participating in the college’s COVID-19 testing program.
