On our Museum @ Home website, you’ll find our latest Art @ Home activity that you can do anytime you like with your friends and family. With this activity, you’ll create your own abstract work of art by combining the artist Carmen Herrera’s signature elements of straight lines, geometric shapes, and dramatic contrasting colors. This project was created as a way to celebrate Latinx Heritage Month, held from September 15 through October 15. During this time, we honor the contributions of Latinx Americans, such as Carmen Herrera, who was born in Cuba and spent much of her life working in France and the United States.
