In this Artful Meditation, Jing Ye will guide you through a 15 minute meditation that will ground your thoughts and mindfulness inspired by Martin Puryear Up and Over, 2014.

In Artful Meditation, a new Let Art Inspire wellness series, Jing Ye, a meditation teacher and a counselor at Colby College, will guide participants through a 15-minute meditation session inspired by a work in the Museum’s collection, fostering greater mind-body connection.

This program is part of the Museum’s wellness initiative, Let Art Inspire, which includes a variety of programs that connect the mind, body, and art in innovative ways. Currently, there are three Let Art Inspire programs, Artful Movements on the first Saturday of each month, Artful Meditation on the second Wednesday of each month, and Artful Healing on the third Monday of each month. 

While we’re closed to the general public due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ll bring Artful Meditation to you in the safety and convenience of your home. Artful Meditation is available online through the Museum’s website and Facebook page.

The Colby community can continue their meditative practice with Jing Ye on Mondays and Tuesdays 4–5 p.m. in the Rose Chapel (small room off the main chapel).

We invite our larger community to visit Jing’s website for personal one-on-one consultations and corporate retreats.
