Justin McCann, Lunder Curator for Whistler Studies at the Colby College Museum of Art, offers a virtual tour of the River Works: Whistler and the Industrial Thames exhibition, featuring a series of works created during the artist’s time living in Victorian London environs. Justin sheds a light on the environmental hazards of air pollution and “Great Stinks” apparent in Whistler’s depictions of the working waterfront.
