Studio Artist Lecture: Susan Jane Walp

The American painter Susan Jane Walp, will give an artist talk on her work. The recipient of many honors including a Guggenheim Fellowship, Ms. Walp is represented by the Tibor de Nagy Gallery in NYC. Her talk will be followed by a reception in the Museum.
The Studio Artist lecture series is organized by Colby’s Art Department and cosponsored with the Museum.

Photographer Ori Gersht will contextualize his own practice in relation to technology, history and art history, weaving between the personal and the general. He will also discuss the relationships of photography with memory, truth, and the fundamental need to anchor our existence in something that can be defined as objective.
