Lower Jetté Gallery

Based on historical and personal photographs, Jen Casad’s meticulous graphite drawings capture the working culture of Maine’s fishing industry, a life she knows well through her own work as a clam digger. Organized in conjunction with this year’s humanities theme, Human/Nature, this conversation between Casad and the SAB will address her art and livelihood and the close connection to nature that informs the lives of Maine’s fishermen. Casad’s drawing in the Colby Museum’s collection will be available for viewing along with a variety of her works-in-progress.

Cosponsored by the Center for the Arts and Humanities, the Museum, and the SAB.
