Colby College’s Women of Color Alliance invites all to attend “DJ 101 with Mursi Layne”, a basic DJ mixing tutorial and discussion on entrepreneurship, the DJ business, and working in a male-dominated industry. The event will be led by DJ Mursi Layne, an award winning self-taught DJ, who has witnessed the problematic division and low visibility of women deejays in a male-dominated industry and is determined to educate women on the art and basics of DJing. The event will conclude with a party deejayed by Mursi sponsored by and located in the Pugh Center at 10 pm.
