Alexandra Exter (1882-1949), a member of the Russian avant-garde, produced innovative set and costume designs for plays and films, including Aelita (1924), directed by Yakov Protazanov.  Visitors are invited to an evening that will begin with an introductory lecture delivered by Colby professors Addis Mason and Elena Monastireva-Ansdell, describing their study of a Constructivist work in the collection, followed by a screening of the film in Olin 1.
