Friday, February 7, 2014,

Museum of Art

A combination of acting, dancing, and singing, Noh is one of the great performing traditions of Japan. Closely tied to the philosophy and chants of Zen Buddhism, its austere and haunting melodies give life to the classic tales of nature, love gained and lost, and the triumphs and tragedies of the samurai.
